Impact Spring Sermon Series
In one gripping story of an unexpected hero, Jesus packed themes that challenge our assumptions and redirect our lifestyle. The Good Samaritan on Jericho Avenue will inspire and instruct us as we look at his example through interviews and teaching. The central truth? You will find wholeness for your own life as you love God and serve other people. Jim Wallis wrote, "The two great hungers in our world are spirituality and social justice. The connection between the two is what the world is waiting for." This story and this Impact series will provide that connection.

    • Pray for the right people to be at each event. Pray for compelling presentations and generous response. Pray for people to help plan and carry out each event.
    3. Divine Makeover - Pray for a favorable response from each group considering our project. Pray that we would be able to arrange a meeting of all the key players soon.

    Hillman City Spring Clean-Up
    Saturday, April 19th, 9:30am - 12noon. Pick up coffee and donuts and supplies at Vel Dyke Realty (5504 Rainier Ave. S.).

    3 Week Membership Class
    Sundays, April 6th, 13th, 20th, 9:00am - 10:30am, at the church

    New Small Group for Parents
    Wednesdays, 5:30pm - 7:30pm, in partnership with IDEA Tutoring. Elementary students join the tutoring while parents enjoy a Bible Study. Dinner included. Call Helen Mitchell for more information.

    Refuge Youth Ministry
    - Youth Worship Service. 6th - 12th grades. Every Thursday at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Pastor Joe for more information.
    - Help support the Refuge by donating meals for 12-20 teens. Bulk items (canned goods, nooodles, sauce). Freezer items (pizza, lasagna, homemade casseroles).
    - Coins for Quizzing: Get rid of unwanted change and coins to support our Bible Quiz Team.
    - Volunteer: Find time in your schedule to impact teens in the Rainier Valley. Contact Pastor Joe for more information.
