Sunday Children's Ministry

Nursery: Loving and nurturing volunteers provide care for infants (0-2yrs) in a clean and safe environment. For more info contact Donna Bartholomew.

Preschool: Providing care and fun for toddlers (2-preschool) by engaging them in Bible lessons and activities about Jesus Christ and His love. For more info contact Kim Weatherby or Boo Bakke.

Elementary: Providing a Biblical foundation for (K-5th grade) elementary kids through music, art, Bible stories, fun activities and scripture memory. K-3rd grade meet in Elementary Room. 4th-5th grade meet in "Tween" Room. For more info contact Suzanne May.

Rainier Avenue Youth

Sundays 9am: Middle school and high school youth (6th-8th, 9th-12th) meet in the youth room and then break into small groups (including groups w/ quizzing emphasis). Contact: Jonathan Oleson

Sundays 10:30am: Middle school and high school youth are encouraged to worship/serve in the corporate worship service as an intentional endeavor to further incorporate them into the life of the church and adult congregation.

Wednesdays 6pm: Bible Quizzing (4th-12th grade) Contact: Dan Bartholomew

Thursdays 6pm: Youth Group (6th-12th grade). This group will transition to meet the first Friday of each month once youth small groups are up and running. Anticipated transition date is late Fall. Contact: Jonathan Oleson.

Midweek at multiple times/locations: Small groups for middle schoolers and high schoolers meet throughout the week at different locations and times. Anticipated start date is late Fall. Contact: Jonathan Oleson.

Urban Impact

Urban Impact at Rainier Avenue Church: Facilitates Christian community development by engaging the church congregation and its community to address felt needs and cultivating Christ-centered faith.

Community Night: A great meal, engaging activities, an opportunity to build meaningful relationships. Activities and classes for children and adults. Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm.

Homework Center: Provides a location for students to do homework and tutors that give individualized instruction and assistance. Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm.

Mekong Kids: After School Tutoring to help students complete their homework successfully, giving them self-confidence and encouraging academic growth at Graham Hill Elementary School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-5:30pm.

Outreach

World Mission Team: Promotes world missions within the church, encourages financial, personal, and prayer support for RAC Missionaries, and plans mission trips.

Compassion Ministries: Assists and empowers people to meet the practical, material and social needs of others.

The Church in Community

Worship Arts Team: Plans and implements services that help people experience the glory and presence of God and result in personal and congregational transformation.

Hospitality Team: Fosters and exercises hospitality by organizing the reception time, church pot lucks, and special events.

Ushers/Greeters: Welcome people, direct them to seating, collect the offering and count attendance during the worship services.

Adult Discipleship: Provides opportunities for people to gather in small groups to study God's Word, to grow in relationships, and to pray together.

Racial & Ethnic Reconciliation Team: Promotes ethnic and racial reconciliation.

Church Operations

Property and Facilities Team: Group of individuals responsible for the oversight, management and care of property and facilities.

Finance Committee: Group of individuals appointed by Official Board to propose annual budget, monitor master plan of church finances and oversee all financial systems and tracking.

Tellers: Group of individuals who volunteer to count the offering and prepare the weekly deposit and financial records for the bookkeeper.
